Reminders: part 2

Hey loves! I'm back with another list of reminders for us to carry into the new year (and beyond).
1. Often times, the ascension to the greatest chapter of your life will be prefaced by the most heartbreaking period of your life
-Lonely, lost, confused, crying on the floor in your first apartment, feeling as empty as the space in front of you and magically, just like that apartment-once it's furnished and full- you'll find that somewhere along the way
your heart became full again too.
2. The path to pursuing your dreams won't look how you thought it would and you'll be led down some mysterious roads
-Keep following them. They're leading you to success you didn't even know you needed.
3. Sometimes those whom you love cannot love you back
-Wish them well and let them go. It isn't anybody's fault. The space they vacate in your life will be filled with many other kinds of love.
4. Love is the greatest teacher
-It'll fill you up and will break you open. You can feel your way through it or try to close yourself off from it but one way or the other it'll teach you and if you're lucky, it'll bring you closer to yourself.
5. Ironically enough, letting go of control is the only way we regain control of our lives
-When life isn't going how we wanted, the sense of losing control makes us grasp on tighter. Holding on to things and people that are meant to stay in the past will make you feel more out of control than you'll realize. "Don't try to gate keep what's outside of the gate".
6. Results can and will take time to show up but they will come
-As cliched as it is, you can be working for five years with no results but on the sixth year, you'll see it all happen for you at once. Don't stop the pursuit.
7. Everyone has something to teach you
-No matter how long or how fleeting the interaction may seem, every single person you encounter is a character in your life sent to make you feel something. Don't take crossing paths lightly.
8. Life happens all at once, then not at all, then repeats
-It comes in waves. The saying "when it rains, it pours" doesn't just refer to the bad but also the good and intense too. Drown in it as it comes, everything your life is is made up by these waves.
9. Setting boundaries is one of the hardest things you'll have to do
-It is also one of the greatest things you'll ever do.
10. Gratitude should mark the beginning and end of every step you take
-When life is coming at you full speed, it gets hard to remember the times when you wished for what you have now. Keeping gratitude in the forefront of your life helps you to pinpoint the good in any situation.
